12th September 2018 :The High Court  asked the Education Secretary to appear again as there is no satisfactory response to the lack of teachers in government schools. The court said on Wednesday that the education secretary's affidavit is not in accordance with the previous order.


After hearing the Public Interest Litigation petition, the Bench of Acting Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Sandeep Sharma asked the Education Secretary what steps have been taken to fill the vacant posts of teachers in the education department.


Earlier, the court had asked the Education Secretary what steps are being taken to fill the vacant posts of teachers in government schools. If steps have been taken, then what stage has reached.

The Education Secretary had said in earlier affidavit that there is also a reason for the lack of teachers in the schools due to pending cases in the courts. On this, the court had also asked what the cases were, due to which the government was not able to fill the vacant posts in the schools.
